Streaming Speech courses were bought by individuals or institutions. Institutions could choose between class mode and virtual cluster mode of delivery. All modes required access to the internet.

The Single-user service. If you were a student working alone, you could subscribe to any Streaming Speech course for six-months. During these six months students were assigned a virtual workspace which was unique to them. They had their own copy of each course. All their time online was logged, and a record was kept of their answers on the exercises. If they made good progress, they could print off a certificate. A record of work could be printed at any time.

To use the service they had first to register with speechinaction and create a username and password. Theyl then were able to log into the Streaming Speech course menu. There, they viewed the demo chapters (for free) and bought subscriptions to our services. Payments were made by credit card on a secure server. The price list is here.
