or under supervision on a computer cluster.
If you are working as an individual, looking for a course demo
or wishing to subscribe to a full course, then you should proceed
using the upper section of this form. If you are studying a course
under supervision, in a class or on a computer cluster, then you
should use the middle or lower sections of this form.
A single user needs to register before attempting to log
in. Click on the words 'Register now', choose a user
name and give some contact details, You will be assigned a
password and then will be able to log in and proceed to
the course menu.
Subsequently, registered users enter their user name and password
in the upper section of this form and go directly to the course
menu.
A password can be changed by logging in and returning to the
registration form. To retrieve a password, click on the words
'Forgotten password' and you will be informed by email.
Log in as a class member - help
Courses can be studied by a single user, by a class,

course(s) in a class, then you should ask your tutor for
an eight-character user code of the form UBS7B123.
This code will be specific to you and will identify workspace
on the system. Enter your user code and click on the words
'Register now'. At this stage leave the password
field empty. A popup window will open where you give contact details.
The system will assign a password and you will then be
able to log in and proceed to the course menu.
Subsequently, registered students can enter their own user codes
and passwords in the middle section of this form and go directly
to the course menu.

registration form. To retrieve a password, click on the words
'Forgotten password' and you will be informed by email.
Log onto a virtual cluster - help
Courses can be studied by a single user, by a class,
or under supervision on a virtual computer cluster.
New users need to register before logging in. If you are studying
course(s) under supervision on a computer cluster, you should
collect a cluster code from your supervisor. This will
be an 3-character code of the form UBS and will be specific
to the cluster. Enter this code in the user code field
and click on the words 'Register now'. At this stage the
password field is left empty. A popup window will open,
and you will be asked to choose a user name and give contact
details. The system will then assign a password and you
will then be able to log in and proceed to the course menu.
Subsequently, a registered student will be able to enter a personal
user code and password in the lower section of this
form, click the 'Log in' button and go directly to the course
menu. A personal user code for a registered student is made up
from the original three-character cluster code, followed
by a dot and the student's chosen user name similar
to
UBS.myusername
